Need a Custom 3D Print or CAD Design?
Send us a model, measurements, photos, or just the problem you need solved. We handle ready-to-print files, model changes, and new CAD work.
What to send
Send what you have. You do not need finished CAD to ask for help.

Print a ready file
Send the model, quantity, intended use, desired size, and any material or color preference.

Modify an existing model
Send the editable file when available and identify every dimension, tolerance, or feature that must change.

Design a new part
Share the problem, measurements, mating parts, sketches, and the outcome the part must provide.

Evaluate an item recreation
Send clear views of the physical part, a scale reference, critical measurements, and the surfaces that must fit.
Show the fit clearly
A few clear photos and labeled measurements are better than a large batch of unclear images.
Reference checklist
- Photograph the front, back, sides, and installation area.
- Include a ruler or caliper in at least one image when possible.
- Label dimensions with units and identify which are critical.
- Show holes, clips, threads, slots, and mating surfaces clearly.
- Explain acceptable clearance, motion, or fit where it matters.
- Keep the original part available in case another measurement is needed.
What happens after you submit
Knisley checks the design work, printing needs, material, quantity, and fit. We may ask for more measurements or photos before preparing a price.
The form is a request, not an instant quote or approval to begin work. See the service page for the request process and file requirements.
Before you submit
- Remove passwords or access restrictions from files you intend to share.
- Do not submit a design you do not own or lack permission to print.
- Call out safety-critical, regulated, or high-consequence uses explicitly.
- Material, tolerance, finish, schedule, and price are confirmed after we have the job details.
Custom order questions
Do I need a finished 3D model?
No. A ready model helps with a print request, but CAD work can be evaluated from a clear problem description, measurements, sketches, and reference photos.
Which file format should I send?
Accepted uploads include STL, 3MF, OBJ, STEP/STP, IGES/IGS, PDF, JPG/JPEG, and PNG. Tell us whether the file should be printed, changed, or used as a reference.
Can I request one part?
Yes. One-off parts, prototypes, and batches are welcome. Include the quantity you need now and any larger run you may need later.
Will I receive an instant quote?
No. We check whether we can make it and whether anything is missing before pricing the job.
Can I submit a model I found online?
Only if you own the design or have explicit permission from the rights holder to have it printed. Include that confirmation with the request.
Can you promise an exact fit from photos alone?
No. Photos can explain the part, but critical fit normally needs clear measurements and may require additional review or a prototype.
