Can I request a part without a finished 3D model?

Yes. For a new CAD design or a replacement part, send a clear description, critical measurements, and reference photos or a dimensioned drawing. Photos from several sides with a ruler or caliper in frame are especially useful.

Which 3D model and drawing files can I upload?

The request form accepts STL, 3MF, OBJ, STEP, STP, IGES, IGS, PDF, JPG, JPEG, and PNG files. Ready-to-print, model-modification, and production requests require a model file. New-design and physical-part recreation requests require at least one reference image or PDF.

What material does Knisley 3D Solutions normally use?

PETG is our primary material for durable, practical parts. You can request another material or choose “not sure” so we can evaluate the part’s heat, weather, impact, oil, chemical, and load requirements.

Can I request one replacement part or a small production run?

Yes. We review one-off replacements, prototypes, model changes, and short production or batch runs. Production requests should include the exact quantity, the model file, and whether a sample has already been printed and tested.

How does custom 3D printing pricing work?

Pricing depends on the model, size, material, quantity, print time, CAD work, finishing needs, and fit requirements. We review the request and clarify missing details before providing a quote. Submitting the form is not a purchase or approval to begin work.
